MEET CIARA JENNINGS YOGA
Namaste
Hey and welcome! I’m Ciara, Ive been practising yoga since I was 18 years old. It all started out by going to classes at which ever gym I was a member of at the time, and over the years its slowly grown from being something that I do to complement other sports that I have been doing, such as running marathons, triathlons, kick boxing, even pole dancing (yes I’ve done it all!), to now being a huge part of my life and the main focus of not only my physical fitness but self awareness and mental wellbeing as well!
I have recently undergone my Yoga Alliance 200 hour teaching training programme with The Yoga People in the magical Goa, India, where I spent a month living in a beach hut with a cockroach named Frank, learning to practice and teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series, the foundation of yoga, and the more recent playful, modern, high intensity Rocket 1 series, along with learning the history and philosophy and principles of Yoga, as well as Chakra training, Pranayama breathing techniques and meditation. It was an amazing experience, and one which I would love to share with you!
PHILOSOPHY
Root down from the earth, rise up to the stars
I think that Yoga is for everyone, no matter your age or ability, everyone should be able to practice Yoga in a safe and nurturing space without judgement! Every single person is an individual, every single body is unique and different and moves in its own beautiful way, there is no right or wrong, as long as you are feeling the posture and breathing then you are doing just great! I would like to open up Yoga to everyone, whether you have never practised before and are a bit overwhelmed and apprehensive about going to a studio/ group class and that you wont know the basics, or if you have been practising for a while and would like to deepen your knowledge, advance your practice or introduce a self practice into your routine, then I can help guide you on your journey.

WHAT I DO
As well as studio classes I can bring the practice of yoga to you. Either by teaching you on a much more personal level, one to one, designing each class to personally fit your needs and aims, or to your work place and colleagues.
I am also teaching an online schedule directly into your home via Zoom, so please message me if you are interested in joining my on line community!
Yoga is not just about the physical practice of asana, it is about bringing the practice into your every day life.

A BIT ABOUT MYSELF
My Yoga Journey
My background is fashion textiles and I still work full time in the industry, running a small textile agency based in East London. Ive been working in fashion textiles since I graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design back in 2001, at various different head office high street retailer roles, before branching out and running the agency with my business partner! While I still love the industry I have been gradually expanding my yoga awareness by self development through various yoga retreats in the UK and Thailand, and it was after a 3 week trip to Sri Lanka in January 2018 which included another retreat, and the encouragement from the wonderful people that I met, that I had the realisation that Yoga was what I wanted to do and develop.
I have to be honest with you, I am not an ex dancer, or ex gymnast, I am not super bendy flexie like all the instagram super stars you see, I am a normal, food eating, wine drinking women, who loves yoga, loves to practice yoga and loves to teach yoga!
If you want to have a teacher who is passionate about what she does, loves teaching and meeting new people, without the ego, then I’m your gal!
“Yoga is not about tightening your ass. It’s about getting your head out of it.”
